Safe Driving
- Always pay attention to the road. Look well ahead and think what could possibly happen 15 seconds from now, anticipation is the best skill a good driver has.
- Always fasten your seat belt.
- Leave the proper following distance in between you and the car ahead of you for the speed you're traveling at. Never tailgate.
- If someone tailgates you, ease on brakes for an earlier and slower deceleration when approaching a stop light or sign to prevent a collision.
- Drive slower at night and during rainy or snowy weather.
- Avoid driving in poor visibility
- Avoid using (turn off) auxiliary lights such as high beams or fog lights when approaching a car as glare can cause momentary blindness to the oncoming driver.
- Never use a phone or text while driving.
- Never drive when you feel unwell or have had an alcholic drink or used any substance that may affect your reaction time.
- Always be prepared to giveway.
- Leave 5 minutes early, rather than be rushing or becoming stressed to arrive on time.
